Chammps is close to where I work and therefore is in our lunch rotation as well as happy hour. None of us are crazy about the happy hour deals, but there are some good lunch specials, on top of having a pretty large menu. On this particular visit I was craving a salad with goat cheese and Chammps popped in to my head. Turns out they have salads with lots of different cheeses, none of which are goat lol. After we were sat at a high top table drinks and food were ordered. Since goat cheese wasn't an option I went with the Americana salad with pecans, apples, blue cheese and subbed out the chicken for salmon for $2 more. The food did take a bit to come out, but while we were there a huge storm rolled in and the power actually went out for about a minute. This probably lead to the kitchen falling behind so I won't fault them for that. My salad was pretty good, and huge, albeit nothing outstanding, but something I'd order again. The reason for the 3 stars is mostly due to service. The place gets packed for lunch, so our server took a while to get us refills, bring the check, run the check etc. I'd usually give her a bit of a pass seeing how swamped she was, but the management is most likely to blame here. They know they see a lot of lunch traffic and it didn't seem as though they had enough servers to handle it all. Total time for lunch was over an hour which is a bit long for a work lunch, especially considering it wasn't a Friday.

Went on a Sunday afternoon for a bite to eat of some comfort food (I was hungover), don't judge me!!! For an appetizer I got the loaded waffle fries, they took a while to come out, but were quite delicious. After about 5-6 minutes of getting my waffle fries I noticed my chicken sandwich was sitting under the heat lamp. It remained there for about 10 minutes till my girlfriends chicken sandwich was finished and then they brought the food over. My girlfriends Parmesan crusted chicken sandwich was tasty and fresh, but my sandwich was a bit dry from the heat lamp. Not too bad, not good either.

Awful service. We waited a de and for a drink order let alone a menu. We talked to the manager and he basically told us to leave. Really horrible service when we had a party if 15 to watch the World Cup

I came here on a Thursday night and it was surprisingly busy. So that was a good sign. Our party of 6 was seated immediately and the waitress was very attentive and not to mention that she was great with the 3 screaming toddlers we came with. So that's a plus. Our food was good, but it wasn't extraordinary. I ordered a steak with veggies, and although the steak was cooked well, it wasn't particularly flavorful. The food did come out fast so that's another plus. I probably would come back if I was in the area but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to come here. It's a great atmosphere too, more conducive for the sports bar aficionado.

I have been coming to Champps for years. Used to be good, not so much anymore. When my order came out wrong, it took a long time to bring out a replacement. Fun to watch your dinner companion eat. When The manager who brought the replacement handed it to me, she said "I don't know what was wrong with the first order but I hope this is better." Really? Won't eat here again. Ok good, bad service. Too bad.

We came to Champps for a little Happy Hour get together with a few of my boyfriend's coworkers. We were able to get a nice big table to fit the whole group. We all ordered different drinks and beer. The waitress was not only helpful for getting all our orders in, but she helped split the tab ahead of time. Made it really easy to have a group get together. I ordered two drinks here, the Cucumber Melon Mojito and the White Sangria. Both refreshing and made with fresh fruit and cucumbers. I enjoyed both drinks, but didn't order any food. The Seared Ahi Tuna Appetizer and Salmon Salad looked pretty good.

Typical Americana food, mostly fried goods, vast selection of food types from Italian to Asian to American primarily , not the greatest quality food taste and service is hit or miss. I've had, at best a decent experience here. This place is best suited for the after work happy hour crowd.

I've been working in the neighborhood for well over 17 years, and have visited this place often. Sometimes, we'll do happy hour, while other times we'll hit this place up at lunchtime. I would recommend a later lunch as this place will become jam-packed at around noon, and begins to clear out after 1:00 p.m. during the work week. I would also recommend staying away from the hamburger. Very little flavor. On my most recent visit, I ordered two things. The French Dip never disappoints. Very good. Make sure to request some horseradish sauce on the side. It's creamy and delicious. I also ordered an appetizer, the three-layer hummus with crispy pita slices. Very tasty. This place has been around since as long as I can remember, and is a good place to meet up with friends and family. You'll always find a good seat. Good place to watch the game, too.

I was here yesterday to redeem my free burger from joining their MVP club this was second try to redeem it because I was wrongly told it was expired the first time. I had a pretty good burger no complaints there, but I sat at the bar to eat and watch the games and they had one bartender who not only was left to take care of the entire bar they had her serving tables too which made things quite slow she did the best she could doing the work of 3 people Shame on the management !!!! You need more help and you have to work on your customer service regarding your MVP club.

It's a chain restaurant so we are not looking at first class food but it's decent. The salad I had was put together nicely and everyone else at the table was satisfied with their meal. It's a big open space with a nice bar that has underwhelming choices of national beers. It's disappointing that there are no craft beer choices. Service was attentive and there are more than enough TV's if you want to watch a game. I'm Friday nights they now have a comedy show that is enjoyable.

Chammps is a very large open space restaurant that is part sports bar but NOT an annoying sports bar atmosphere which I liked as I am not a huge sports fan Was here on a Friday , saw the new Comedy Show which was hilarious Our server was very good and attentive and the food was way above what any other comedy club offers. I had the (famous) cheeseburger and it was delicious, served with fries and cole slaw. The fries were nothing special but the burger was actually surprisingly great! They ask you how you want it cooked and they DO cook it to order. I would certainly return. My friend ordered a chopped salad which was HUGE and she really liked it. Only complaint - the young girls at the front desk are pretty clueless. Once you are past them this is a good choice, wish they had one out west.

I wouldn't think of coming here for any other occasion than going to a work lunch. Which is exactly how I ended up here. I knew coming here that nothing would be healthy, so I ordered the grilled buffalo chicken sandwich with the hot sauce on the side (hoping that it would be lighter than their other options). The bun was boring, the chicken was cooked well and came out hot, but it was nothing special. I thought the sweet potato waffle fries would be something tasty to try and they were actually very boring (for an up-charge). I think the shape of the waffle makes you get less flavor of sweet potato in each bite and there wasn't enough seasoning. I didn't expect much from a grilled chicken sandwich, but I couldn't believe how unhealthy it is for you considering it should just be grilled chicken on a bun. Do they lather it in butter before grilling it? Haha, but I just don't think anything you get here will really be worth the unhealthy feeling afterwards. On top of that the atmosphere is just okay. The tables are really close to each other and I felt like I was in the way while people walked through the isles. It's very open and bright, which is nice. But the food and drink choices really aren't worth it to me.

Appalled by the awful service. Came in for happy hour (me and my coworkers tend to frequent this place as we work right across the street). Got seated by a hostess with an attitude because our whole party wasn't there yet (even though there were plenty of empty tables). The waitress took our drink orders. We ordered some waters and frozen margaritas. 20 minutes go by- nothing, no waters, menus still on the table. (Mind you-they were not busy). We finally get the frozen margaritas (no waters yet) they seem watered down and as if they had been sitting out for a while. We tell her this. She calls her manager- and this is where it gets appalling- the manager comes vouching for her and proceeds to tell us the best she can do is get us DISCOUNTED SHOTS ("the best I can do for you guys is get you shots for $4.50") I could not believe my ears! This is when I went off on her. I told her the issue was we had to wait 20 minutes for drinks. Still she seemed confused. Still the manager did NOTHING for us and the waitress gave us a lame apology. Also got our orders wrong. Unbelievable. Will not be coming back. Don't go here, go next door to Longhorn, where at least the service is good.

Sadly disappointed. Haven't been here in about 2 years. Menu has changed not for the better. 90% hand held food. Theres 3 pasta dishes, 3 steaks and the rest burgers sandwiches and salads. Server brouggt our drinks, took our order and brought our appetizer, mozzarella sticks which there was a surprisingly 8 of them. our orders are parm crusted chicken, chicken parm sandwich, puuled pork tacos. I was happy to be surprised that the chicken on both dishes was tender and juicy. Daughter was pleased with her pulled pork tacos. Came here after the SpongeBob movie, love that idiot Patrick. Would only come here again for a night of beer and sports with the boys. Waitress not to attentive and they were not busy.

I was in the area so decided to stop in for a quick bite. Sat at bar and had French dip. Tasted like good quality meat to me. Came out rather quickly great value. Bartenders were sweet, efficient and very personable. Isn't that everything you want from your bartender? Two of them had the moderately filled bar and service bar under control. It's a good sports bar TVs everywhere It gets 3 stars only because for places like this (sports bars) that's the highest I would give unless exceptional. Service at bar was exceptional Been here before and food is always good. Most expensive thing on menu is $26(from what I see). Great value.

Classic sports bar with at least five or six large projection screens and a handful of smaller screens. Salads and sandwiches, but the winner here are the burgers. I chose the BBQ burger with waffle fries. And of course, it comes with a bunch of pulled pork and barbecue sauce, cheese and bacon. Quite yummy and aren't waffle fries just the best? Can someone explain the two "P"'s in Champps? Again with the iced tea that isn't sweet tea? Isn't this the South? Grrrr...

Updating my review (and keeping it at 5 stars) because I'm a loyal regular here now. My mom and I have our weekly dinner date here, where we play trivia on Friday nights at 7 pm. It's free to play, and they give away prizes in the form of gift cards. First place gets $30, second place gets $20 and third place gets $10. Since my mom and I are just that awesome, we usually win, so we earn our meals and drinks, essentially. Erika, the trivia host, is super friendly, and we always have such a good time playing. If you play trivia regularly, you can be entered into a Tournament of Champions, which brings together teams from across South Florida to compete for a $1,000 cash prize. Champps also had its own prize of a mini kegerator for whoever got the most points over the course of this past quarter. It should go without saying that I'm the proud owner of a mini kegerator now ;) Our waiters (usually Stefanie, Roger or Ashley) are fantastic and totally on top of things. My mom is in a wheelchair, and when we mentioned to Holam (the events coordinator) that the bathroom was hard to get the chair into because it had a fairly high ledge for the door, they immediately fixed it and made sure it was easier for us. The food is consistently good. I usually stick with the walnut crusted chicken, because it's just delicious, but I sometimes mix it up. I've had the kung pao chicken (very spicy), vodka farfalle, french onion soup and fish and chips, and have never been disappointed in my meal. But seriously, you can't go wrong with the walnut crusted chicken.

Many years ago I was a dedicated Champps patron so I was looking forward to going back for lunch today. Unfortunately I wasn't as excited when we left. Our first encounter with the Champps staff was with the rude hostess who was either completely uninterested in being there or just flat out had a crappy personality. Regardless, she has no business being a hostess anywhere. Then, the menu has changed significantly since my last visit (I'm in mourning over the loss of the meatloaf with mushroom gravy). I can see where maybe they wanted to have more of a sports bar menu since the bar is half of the restaurant but for those who want to support the restaurant over the sports bar, you might be disappointed. With that being said, I had no issue ordering a salad however I was a bit disappointed with our server's lackluster personality. Despite the hostess and our server having such yuck personalities, I can honestly say that is not all of the Champps employees. Several employees stopped to talk to our children as they were walking by and were very sweet and personable. Champps may be an ok sports bar but the restaurant is mediocre.

Been here a number of times for corporate events, and it's good enough. But I've never had good individual service. I'm sitting in the restaurant right now, been here for an hour, and I've been visited by my server two times. Pretty terrible experience. I came on game night and the burgers were $7 as a result. Thank goodness. That was a cheaply made burger. The meat reminded me of the cheap, frozen patties you can buy at Walmart. I'll be back since it's near my office and open pretty late . But when there are other options Champps can count on me making a different choice for dinner.

Been a long time since I've been here. It's ok. Nothing much has changed here. They changed the nachos which I thought over a decade ago was some of the best because how each chip had cheese covering it. Now it's just a mound of chips and cheese etc sprinkled on top. Not that it's bad but its not outstanding like before. The bar is cool and the do have a decent happy hour. Beyond that I really wouldn't go out of my way to eat or drink here. No big draw for me. Now that doesn't make it bad but Champps wouldn't be a place that I would recommend for out of towners except if you are staying at one of the hotels nearby. It would be good for happy hour. Stay Hungry!

I have worked literally across the street from this place for a long while now and have never stopped in; I just never felt drawn here despite the convenience and the good things I've heard. But then.. I started searching for places that give you free crap on your birthday in preparation for my upcoming "21st." Champs gives you a free cheeseburger or a free dessert on your bday when you sign up for their emails. Lone behold, they also send you this same deal at the time of signing up as a little welcome present. Quite generous of them if you ask me. I don't eat red meat, but my mom does, so the two of us stopped into Champps to take advantage of the coup and finally try the place out. Upon arriving at a peak lunch time hour, it was busy, but tables were available and we were seated right away. The tables were a bit close to one another for my liking and if I wanted to reach over and grab a fry off the guy's plate who was sitting at the table next to mine, I wouldn't have even had to struggle for it. But overall the place was clean and as you could have guessed, decked out with all things sports. The food is exactly what you expect. Burgers, salads, sandwiches and the like. Was I blown away by the menu? No not really, there was definitely a lack of inspiration and creativity here. But who am I joking, this is a sports bar and thus a place that caters towards dues. Do guys what a spring mix salad with walnuts and cranberries tossed in a strawberry vinaigrette? Eh probably not. I decided to get a ranch chicken wrap that had pepper jack cheese, veggies, and chicken of course. It was pretty good, but totally dependent on the ranch. Now I have only love in my heart for ranch dressing, but it is a condiment. The ranch carried this whole wrap and without it there would have been no flavor. The steak fries were good but I wish I knew there were waffle fries available (found out from a coworker later that day). The services was a little slow and it took about a whole hour from start to finish which is too long for those who only have an hour lunch break. I might return to Champps every now and again, but I don't see myself becoming a regular.

I came here for happy hour with a friend and ordered the pepper seared tuna. He ordered the Mongolian egg rolls. I sent the tuna back because it had a pure pepper taste followed by a strong bad fish taste. I didn't really trust it, having had a lot of raw/seared tuna. We both didn't like the egg rolls. The sauce was good and spicy but the egg rolls were stuffed with really low quality ground beef. That's all I could taste and see. Very odd. I'm going to make it a point to go to duffys or stout near there if I'm looking to go to a sports bar. I actually think Hooters next door would have been better. Meh

You'd imagine a sports bar would be pretty loud and it'd be difficult to speak to someone across the table from you. Well, let me tell you....it is. Even at lunch. When the televisions are on mute. Which is kind of strange considering this location is in a commercial area rather than a residential one. Aside from that, it was a positive experience. The food was good; our table had a philly cheasesteak, buffalo chicken sandwich, a regular burger and a bleu burger (everyone chose waffle fries as the side which were REALLY good). It seemed like everyone enjoyed the food. My only complaints are that the cheesesteak was too greasy and the bun didn't hold up well to it. That's kind of a big deal since a sandwich isn't a sandwich if you have to eat it with a fork. The little thing was not being asked about a refill on my drink, which wasn't a big deal since I didn't want another (but the waitress had no way of knowing that since she never asked) Overall, it was a pretty good time, but this is definitely NOT someplace I would recommend for a business lunch.

Waltzed in here while our out-of-town guest met up with a friend for lunch. The friend picked the place. Really sweet waitress helped me pick out a decent chicken sandwich with guac that hit the spot. Hubs ordered a huge (read: tectonic plate-sized) cobb salad. Other places are doing it better and probably cheaper. Would I go back if I was hungry and right next to it? Probably. Would I seek it out? Probably not. Worth checking out if you're a sports fan and into screens though, I'm sure--that place was pretty much covered.

The food is OK. There is a wide variety of food, so you'll find something to eat. Abs it will be fine. It's loud for an intimate conversation. Good place to watch the game. Service was slow from the bar. .. had our food before our drinks. .. really?

Went here today Sunday jan 26th. The server was very nice. Angela. The flatware needed to be clean better Spots of water on it had to clean it. We had tuna appetizer excellent. Also the Crab and polenta cakes where good. But The dish was cold. We had fish & chips As are entree. The batter on the fish was Done excellent. Not greasy or over cooked. The mashed potato we ordered was hot but Not a lot of flavor. Server Angela did a check back on are table 2 times after each course. Would go back. Nice for a Neighborhood Restaurant.

I met my friend there for lunch. This was my first time visiting the restaurant. The hostess was nice and set us right away. Our waitress was in her 50s with blond/white hair. She was not friendly at all. She seemed like she is just there to make ends meet and look it. I asked her questions about the menu and she was irritated and answer with one or two words like she is bothered by saying a complete sentence to me. I just ordered 3 steak tacos and my friend ordered cheeseburger. My 3 tacos came out, and was surprised how big the soft tortillas were and how little the steak was inside the tacos. Most places if the meat quantity is small they usually Pile up with veggies but not this place. Even the veggies was skimpy. It's like big tortilla ps with a spoonful of beef and veggies. No salsa, sour cream or guacamole. The taste was blend because all you taste is corn tortilla. I had to ask for tabasco sauce to make it some flavor. The water was never refilled and had to flag her down several times just to get my water refilled. She was definitely efficient, take order without any conversation with the customers, bring your food without least amount of contact, and bring the check to collect money. Tomorrow I have another lunch with my friends near her office and asked where she wanted to go. She mentioned champps Americana again and I told her no thanks lets just meet at the chillis. So you have my answer, would I visit this establishment again? The answer is easy NO.

My boss loves this place, forces me to go and I get a salad. I've never gone wrong with any of the salads. The meal salads are huge and tasty and haven't had too many spines (the thick rind part of lettuce with no leaf-I hate that). I especially like the Americana. If my boss reads this, he better be glad I like the salads here or I'd be so mad at him. Lol. OK, so I'd get mad at him anyway for something. Lol. Jk.

I find it interesting that they have such low ratings. I love their food. Their chicken quesadillas are the best. Their Tuscany Salmon healthy and exquisite. Customer service is really good most of the time, like 85% of the time. I guess I am starting to get used to South Florida and their lack of manners so i'm happy if the service is good most of the time and don't expect "miracles" here. Because they aren't happening. It is South Florida. I like it.. :)

Talk about shrinkage...their menu has gone from several pages to two pages of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, a couple of salads, a bit of pasta and some pseudo healthy selections. Wait staff was attentive and timely. Like the multi TV screens tuned to different sport events. Food however was greatly lacking. The salmon with broccoli and green beans was dry and bland. The veggies were not edible. Chicken tenders were good but over breaded. Speaking of shrinkage - their Saturday night crowd was dining elsewhere. The place was as quiet as a funeral pallor at 7 pm. The place seems to have lost much of its vitality since my last visit.

Champps certainly isn't fine or elegant dinning but it wasn't meant to be. What I would camper it to is TGI Fridays, only better and at the same price. The menu is extensive and well orchestrated to suit just about any taste or palate. The salad, though simple, was fresh and crispy. I had a top sirloin for $16.95 which proved extremely tasty, perfectly prepared, and as with the rest of the meal, the portion was large. To me, it represents a good value for the dollar. The drinks are on the pricey side, but large enough and strong enough, and the service was excellent. As for the interior of the place, it is so large and with such high ceilings, you would think that you had arrived at a Wal-Mart. The walls are covered with flat screen televisions offering various sports, but the place did not strike me as a sports bar and the food was certainly not the typical sports bar food. For me, the downside of Champps is a lack of focus as to what it really is or is trying to be. Is it a sports bar or a restaurant? Seemingly neither. OK as a restaurant and OK as a sports bar, but excelling in neither.

Nice TVs, ok food, but only 1 star because the manager refused to put the game on for us, and its the only reason you go to a place like this. The thing that really bothered us is that the manager was standing around watching his game all night long. I guess this establishment puts their entertainment above the service of their guests. We won't be back.

Service was just mediocre. Went with family who are frequent visitors. Asked for ginger ale was told they don't have it, which perplexed me as they have a full bar. We ordered a flat bread for my son, which ultimately very good, however we asked for it to come out with the appetizer and it was delayed by at least 5-7 minutes. My husband ordered cheesecake to go which took a good 15 minutes to come out.

I don't write reviews, normally, but in this case.... Can't speak to food quality-- left before I had my planned meal -- but don't come here if you enjoy sports broadcasting. The Heat were on -- and music. I spoke to manager (twice!!), who advised that while they turned broadcasters on for the Dolphins (maybe she is a masochist), other than that they wait for playoffs to have the broadcasters on, and instead play (mindless, my opinion) music. I advised her that was certainly her/their business decision -- and then walked 100 yards away, where Heat volume was on, and tables were on a wait list (unlike Champps, 20% full). And another person at the Champps bar also walked away disgruntled. And this was in a ten minute period on a Sunday evening. You do the math..... (PS and the TVs did not appear to be HD, certainly management can correct me on that one).

This place is great. Our service was excellent and the food is good. The signature salad Is a good meal that is light. A little heavy on the mayo, but that is a typical chicken salad. I would come back.

** WORST BURGER IN TOWN ** Imagine the worst tasting frozen patty sold at Walmart, with an optional glop of tasteless Guac, a roll that tasts like stale Wonderbread. And no seasoning whatsoever. Well, thats what a Champps burger tastes like. I am a burger connoisseur and carefully evaluate the finest in SoFla. And Champps rates as bottom 1% in terms of flavor, beef quality, roll, garnish, presentation etc. Now I remember why I haven't been there in 5+ yrs. I'll never go back and I eat out 7 days a week.

I've been here many times because it's really one of the only sports bars that is within the "Corporate plaza" area and many of my coworkers go there for lunch specials, for happy hour, or as a way to kick back after meetings. I can say the biggest thing going for this place is location, location, location... if it wasn't so close to places like Citrix or in a big plaza where it's only competition is Hooters, then it wouldn't do so well. My coworkers refuse to go to Hooters because of it's negative connotations, and the other choices in the plaza do not have good bar-scenes. What Champps has going for it beyond location is that they do have food specials which are pretty good deals depending on the day (i.e. Burger Monday), and they do have Happy hour specials but let me say - they are strict about when happy hour ends, their service is slow for food, and even if you have a big party - the drinks aren't as expedited as they should be. Plus, the food is average American food. You don't go for the food or the service... you go because it's been a long day at work and your boss wants to talk candidly over beers after your meeting...

LITTLE LEAGUE. This is a big, classic, American sports bar. Tons of TVs, lots of fried food. They have a big menu, and I was able to find something I wanted, but I was disappointed that every single one of the "salads" in the "dinner salads" section of the menu featured some kind of meat. Seriously--the caprese salad, that perfect little trifecta of tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, and basil, comes sprinkled with pancetta here. Not everything is better with bacon! Our waitress was friendly, and service was quick. However, one of the "roll up" place settings on the table when we arrived had been smeared with ketchup. Yuck!

I've driven by this building so many times that I always thought it was an "upscale" steakhouse... Which is obviously not. Its more like a sports bar or a place to have drinks and appetizers on the cheap. The bartender made some yummy mojitos and the hummus appetizer was good.

Giving it one star because I can't give zero. We ordered four different items and they were all tasteless and just wrong. We started with the Mongolian Egg Rolls which were advertised as beef egg rolls stuffed with "Asian vegetables." that should have been a sign. The egg rolls if you can even call them that were huge but not the good kind of huge they were made with flour tortillas that went completely gummy on the inside. For entrees we got a burger with fries and a crab bread with a cup of potato soup. The crab bread was a weird cross between a tuna melt and a grilled cheese. The potato soup thick, gloppy, and again bland. The burger was just okay. It was all just layers upon layers of bad food. I have never been to any restaurant where EVERYTHING is bad. The only good thing at Champps was the service. Our waiter was very friendly, quick to keep out drinks refilled and kind enough to bring us take out containers even though we didn't want to take anything home.

We used to go to Champps for lunch during the week and they were outstanding!!! I took my daughter Tuesday evening because I always brag about how good it is... WELL... they have changed their menu (for the worse)... I ended up ordering the meatball sub (who would have thought at Champps I would order a meaetball sub) that wasn't all that great ... I could not find anything else that tempted me... my favorite appetite was no longer on menu.... my daughter ordered a hamburger that wasn't cooked the way she asked. We asked for a soupthat came out 1 minute earlier than our food. Service was ok, but no more Champps for me. For the money I can go East and enjoy J. Alexanders!

Hmm.. I think something is going on with this place. I used to come here all the time with my mom after church. The food is usually surprisingly good. We went last Wed night and it was kind of eh. I got beef enchiladas and they didn't have a lot of flavor. We also got dessert which was a sample of 4 different desserts and only one was good. But I will give them the benefit of the doubt and hope they get better.

America, is part of the name, and it is truly a regular American chain restaurant, the menu has the generic corporate feel and the general ambiance and decor is suitable to the attention deficit environment that we have become so used to. To that effect, I found the service to be consistent and good as we stopped by for lunch a couple of days in a row. I opted for the pasta, trying to keep it light on the protein side, and found the food to be quite good, for a business lunch. A good spot to grab a bite, but more like a place that you end up pulling into by chance rather than actually setting out to go there.

Champps is an OK place to eat & drink. Went there for a meeting in their outside room and the service was great but the food was mediocre. Well decorated, will try again and hopefully the food will be better.

Food average - drinks are a light poor, bartenders fun but trained to poor a light drink.

Finally checked this place out last week. It reminded me of a slightly more upscale Applebees. The atmosphere is relaxed and can get quite busy during lunch time due to its location which is surrounded by business offices. Being that a co-worker and I were eating here for lunch, I decided to go with something a little "lighter" than a bowl of pasta or a burger (all which looked really good, might I add). It should be noted we were seated right next to the kitchen and a good deal of everything that was cooking, looked tasty enough to please. I ordered the Roasted Turkey Sandwich and it was surprsingly delicious for being just a sandwich. Then again, it had bacon. And I suppose it's common knowledge that food with bacon is better than food that is without. The sandwich came with chips, but I asked to switch them out for a caesar salad, which they had no problem obliging with. Service was fast and friendly. I would be interested to check this place out on a weekend of after work. It is obviously a sports environment with several plasma TVs broadcasting the latest sports news and happenings. However, if you can tune out the TVs you'll be a-ok.

$5.99 burger Monday's . . . including the ones that run $13.00 = a great special, plus a solid Happy Hour that includes half off appetizers M-F 4-7 and a $1 of drinks. Also comes with fries. They also have a 9.99 Fajita night on Wednesdays that definitely might be worth trying in the future. They have a bunch of TV's scattered across the place, though nobody was interested in watching highlights of the Miami Heat's game 6 loss lol. Service was good, the $5 Margarita was mehhh but I have had worse. Outside of the specials, they seem kind of pricey here, but it is more of an upscale Sport's Restaurant, so that is to be expected. I have been here during a football game and the place does get live, but the value is had during the week. Either way the food is good here, from pasta to pizza to steak to bar food . . . and I'm sure you will have a good experience with Champps.

This was my first visit to a Champps. I have avoided this place in other cities as I confused it w/ Champions Sports Bar. While Champions is a sports bar that is connected to almost every Marriott, Champps is sports bar w/ better, less fried, less greasy food. It was a nice surprise! Atmosphere - A big, open, airy sports bar. Big bar area to left with lots of tables and few booths throughout. This location was showing some wear and tear, so not a place to impress. Food - It was unexpectedly good. I ordered the Greek salad to start, a chopped two green salad w/ onion, cucumber, olive, feta and tomato. It was not traditionally made but was pretty good and easy to eat. For the main I had the chicken fajitas. What I liked about this dish was the fresh, not frozen chicken that came w/ it, a HUGE surprise. For dessert I had the Turtle cheesecake. Traditional, fluffy, baked, cheesecake drizzled w/ nuts, chocolate sauce and caramel. It was tasty for shipped in cheesecake. Service - Fast, error-free and w/ plenty of ice-tea refills. Not exceptional, but exactly what it should be. Overall - I will definitely visit Champps again, as it is unquestionably not a Champions.

Yikes, no thanks! first off most annoying thing ever when youre tryin to watch a football game, don't fade into your cool indy music any time there is a commercial break, its annoying as shit! leave the damn commercials on. food is gross with no variety.... won't be back.

Yea..the food isn't 5 star, but for the price, the portion sizes are pretty damn good. I go with either half sandwich and French onion soup or the marinated steak salad, which I must say is huge and pretty good! Stop by on a Friday for a good Happy Hour and always some discounted appetizers.

I just got back from my third visit. We found out that on Monday's, Chammp's has 1/2 price burgers, so we thought it would be a good place to go and watch part of a game. Monday #1 We both had a burger...but I can't remember which ones. They were both quite good, and the waffle fries were excellent. My partner had ordered the buffalo wings with the sauce on the side, and the waiter said that's how the wings are always served, with the sauce on the side. We waited and waited...no wingss...the burgers came out, so we cancelled the wings. The waiter looked perplexed, and we noticed my partner's burger came with onion rings. The waiter said "oh, you wanted wings, not rings...I wondered why you would want buffalo sauce with rings". DUH. Monday #2 This time, we made it clear we wanted CHICKEN WINGS for an appetizer. Then our burgers came out. I took a bite of a waffle frie and amost broke a tooth! It was hard. My partner, and a friend who had come with us this evening, both commented on how hard the fries were. I flipped over a few of my waffle fries and they were burned....completely black on one side. It was obvious they had tried to hide that fact by serving them with the unburned side up! I pointed them out to the waiter (who had been our waiter the previous week)...who brought us a two huge plates of fries. However, the fries did not arrive until we were almost finished with the burgers. I have to say, this one waiter does not have a clue!!! Monday #3 Yes, we decided to give Chammp's another try, since the burgers themselves are quite good and the fries are good when they're not burned! We did ask to be seated in another section so that we wouldn't get the same waiter. Sitting at a tall table near the bar, we got a really nice waitress, who more than made up for the dork on the previous two visits. Again we had WINGS, and again, good. He had the burger (good) and I had the "loaded chips" (sort of nachos with potato chips) which were okay, but not great. I'd love to give a higher rating, but I think the fact that the kitchen intentionally sent out burnt fries which could have caused personal injury is really bad. I remain dubious, but hopeful.

I've been going to Champps Americana for several years, mostly for lunch because it is close to my workplace. I've eaten my way across the menu and have tried almost everything on it! They are described as a "sports bar" and the walls are covered with television coverage of all the days events. But the food is definitely way past sports bar. I can't write any farther without mentioning their half priced hamburgers on Mondays. One of the best restaurant promotions I have enjoyed. It's like Monday isn't complete without a visit to Champps to enjoy another burger. Michelle loves the Cobb Salad (saw the salad but I didn't see any cobbs in it.) and usually has it on our Monday visits. The food is good the other days of the week, too. I have enjoyed the Parmesan Crusted Chicken and a few nights ago I ordered the Blackened Chicken Alfredo which was out of this world. It's a little loud because, afterall, it is a sports bar, so it might not be the place to go if you enjoy conversation with your meal. And I have found the service to be spotty. Sometimes great and sometimes very slow. I gave only three stars because of consistantly good food but inconsistant service. For more of my "tell it like it is" reviews go to my blog.

I would rather eat a dirty diaper than ever go back to a Champps. My dinner tasted like it was straight out of the frozen food aisle. Terrible.

Had the chopped BBQ chicken salad for lunch. Very good. My only complaint is that every time I go there we get seated in the corner, where you can't see any tv's. That's the whole point of a group of guys going to a sports bar for work lunch. The place was dead beacuse of the holidays, but usually it's busy and tough to get in and out quickly for lunch. The burgers are good, and portions are more than enough. Salad was excellent, and sometimes they have some drink specials. Would recommend.

I've been going to Champps for 8 years. I live pretty close by. Its a sports bar, not fine dining. But as far as sports bars go the food is well above average. There is always a good crowd at lunch and happy hour because there are a ton of office buildings nearby. Over the years it has always been consistant and I have rarely had anything to complain about. Just the drinks prices, 6 bucks for a pint of Sam Adams? For that reason I usually only go for luch these days. If I want to spend that much for a beer I'll head down to Las Olas. It must be a good place to work, because the staff doesn't turn over much.

I go with my buddies we can sit unmolested for hours, Monday burgers (good) are half price. There is NOTHING healthy here. I imagine the salad dressings have as much fat as a piece of cake.

They have yuengling on tap for $2.50 and for that alone this place deserves 3 stars. Nachos were ok. It's your typical sports bar with your typical bar patrons. Slow servers but all in all it's not all that bad.

Slightly more expensive than say... a Fridays.... but waaayyy EFFIN' better. Half price Burgers on Monday. The Chipolte BBQ Burger is out-freaking-standing!

Every Monday is Half-Price Hamburgers!!! This deal is the only reason why we go to this restaurant. Usually, it is too expensive for our taste. I had the Huevos Burger which has a great taste with the egg and jalapeno bacon. The mile high ice cream pie is tremendous but you need 3 or more people to finish it. Join their online club to receive some great promotions.

I'm not a huge fan of sports bars but this a good combination of the two things. Good quality tasty food with attentive wait staff. Food choices range from finger food thru to steaks and pasta, a good variety for most people with excellent domestic and foreign beer on tap. A solid choice if you want some good food with a game..

Just started working in the area and went with my new co-workers here for the first time yesterday. Having read the previous reviews, I wasn't expecting much, but was surprisingly it was a decent experience. We had ordered several combination appetizer platters and I liked it, well, its kind of hard to mess up on that. The wait staff was attentive, lots of TVs, feels very open with these high dome ceilings. Overall, not a bad experience at all, and Im sure I'll be back cause there aren't too many places in the area....

Unfortunately, this place is close to my office...so we go there after work to socialize. The food has gone down hill, they no longer have their half priced appetizers and the wait staff in the bar area is, for the most part, drone-like. They are not enjoying life, or even faking it! I'm bored with this place and my entire staff is looking for another watering hole.

Ok so the place isn't amazing but it is good enough. I prefer restaurants with a bit more to offer and a better menu but at least it is better then Chili's. Plenty of big screen tv's where we watched sports. The chicken fingers were spice and awesome.

Ok, but not great. Typical bar good and beer, though the portions are large. It's a good place for beers with the guys, but I would hesitate taking a date there.

The good: TVs and big space. The bad: Peppered Ahi tacos were salty beyond human consumption, had to send them back. I hate sending back food but I feared for my blood pressure. They were over cooked but I would've motored through them if they hadn't been so salty. Bartender was a bit concerned but didn't hesitate to change it which is good. Meh French Onion soup.. Meh chicken bacon flatbread. Overall: Meh.

I'm pretty sure if you were bored enough to make a statistical assessment of my reviews I am most reluctant to go below 3 stars for most venues; I know people's jobs and livelihoods depend on the support and good buzz a yelp interview can generate. The only reason I would give less than 3 stars is simply because that's what they deserve. In the case of this particular chain restaurant/sports bar one star is more than sufficient. I felt so bad for my companion who had talked up this place with her own cheerful discourse of what goodies Champps serves and what to expect and she lauded the happy hour enough that I was sure I would at least walk away with an inexpensive but pleasant buzz. Seeing as how I'm still wet behind the ears in Broward County it was refreshing to be close to my home but in a new northern neighborhood of Andrews and Cypress Creek. I felt the vibe was "Kendall North" - very suburban, sprawl, but new and dotted with glistening office parks that undoubtedly fed the multitude of chain restaurants and stores. Notice the plurality - Champps certainly has competition; I spotted a Long Horn Steakhouse, a Hooters and I'm sure there has to be a few more. So imagine my surprise when our waitress told us that one of their signature appetizers that are all $5 during happy hour, was available, but only at the regular price. Yep, the chicken quesadillas were $12. And two for ones? Oh hell to the no.... just a dollar off certain beers, wines and alcoholic beverages. Really? That's how you compete on a happy hour? Still I kept an open mind, we ordered and I was truly entertained meeting new co-workers, albeit one of the nicest ones was celebrating his move to Colorado (it was a going away party) so that's sad not to get to know such a nice gentleman more - but meeting the others was certainly enjoyable. Champps appears to be the kind of place where you would expect large groups for happy hours, and it is certainly spacious. But for all that space, ours was the largest group with around 10 people at its height, and their policy doesn't allow for tables to be put together. So a split group made it more difficult to meet new people since people obviously flock to their friends and cliques, so I found that off putting. Service was amiable, but slow (why, the place was certainly not crowded and the wait staff was abundant) and requests for simple items, such as ice water had to be repeated more than once. Drinks were what you'd expect at any bar, just a dollar off and nothing special or stand out. You may pay more for one of my favorites, The Royal Pig, but goodness knows the mugs are nothing short of Henry VIII goblets that truly quench your thirst. My highball glass of beer was gone in three swigs and you can readily guess it took a while for that to be refilled; in fact to give you an idea, by the time I got my third beer everyone was leaving. And food? Honey Chili's, Applebee's and Friday's ain't got nothing to fear from you - and you are no champ (think chump) in this department Champps. The regular (over) priced quesadillas were cheese flavored cardboard with chicken I'd expect in a high school cafeteria for all its dryness and the fixin's were really spoonfuls of guacamole and sour cream that could cover two pieces of the tortillas at best. My friend ordered a margherita flatbread and I regret she looked so crestfallen when she asked me how I liked it and I replied "it's awful." I've had tastier toppings on matzah crackers at a seder. The potato skins were ... OK ... but speaking of Fridays, I think I purchased a box of their signature frozen potato skins they now sell at grocery stores and they were pretty much identical. I liked the Cypress Creek neighborhood but I won't be going back too soon, and to one certain venue, ever again.

Came by here for lunch last Saturday before furniture shopping. I used to come by here for lunch long times ago when I used to work by the Executive Airport. What I remembered from my visits back then, the food were pretty good. So was the service. So we drove up in the parking lot, and its almost empty. Almost like a ghost town. But that can't be it right? Its almost noon and this place should be open for business. Unless the business has since closed? Well, we opened the doors and they weren't locked. That's a good sign. We told the guy at the front desk we wanted to sit at the bar and walked straight there. There were nobody at the bar, and maybe two desks with people in the entire restaurant! So empty that you can almost hear the echo when you speak. We proceeded to the bar and the bartender gave us the menu. I was not very impressed with their limited selection on appetizers. Wanted to order a draft beer and only has a few to pick from. I ordered their wings but it was pretty dry, although the flavor was not bad. My wife ordered the flat bread and it almost had no flavors. But thank God the salt shaker saved the day. Will I go back? Probably not since there are lots more sports bars in the neighborhood to choose from. Maybe this place does better business at nights, but I guess I'll never find out.

Champps is right near where I work, so I have been on a few occasions, mostly lunches, but also a happy hour or two. It is a good option for larger groups as their menu has something for everyone. I haven't had great things to say about their happy hour in the past, and I think the food specials are better than the drink specials, but I haven't been in awhile, and I would like to give it another try on a Friday when it runs into trivia as well. This lunch trip I had no idea what I wanted, I was jumping back and forth on the menu between pastas, and salads, and sandwiches, but eventually I settled on the turkey wrap which had bacon and avocado. I liked that I could chose any side I wanted from their fairly wide selection and didn't just have to stick with fries. I went with the minestrone soup and was surprised by how many vegetables it had and how fresh they tasted. It was a very hearty minestrone and I kind of found myself wishing there was more broth, but I would get it again. The turkey wrap was about average, nothing special, but not bad either, and I can be very picky about my turkey wraps. I was impressed that the waitress got all our orders correct without having to write anything down, and she was very friendly, but as lunch got busier we saw her a little less and the check took a bit. To be fair there was some sort of power outage during our visit so this may have slowed things down a little too.

(1)Christina M.

(4)Danny S.
Typical Americana food, mostly fried goods, vast selection of food types from Italian to Asian to American primarily , not the greatest quality food taste and service is hit or miss. I've had, at best a decent experience here. This place is best suited for the after work happy hour crowd.
(2)Greg B.

(3)Steven S.
(3)Esty F.

(1)Pappy H.

Lisa our bartender was wonderful even during the hectic time with football championship for football this past Sunday

(3)Sierra K.
Meh
(1)Eric J. N.
(4)Lacey C.
(2)Andy C.
The food is OK. There is a wide variety of food, so you'll find something to eat. Abs it will be fine. It's loud for an intimate conversation. Good place to watch the game. Service was slow from the bar. .. had our food before our drinks. .. really?
(3)Randall L.

(2)Dee B.
Lol. Jk.
(4)Claudette K.
I like it.. :)
(4)Paul K.
(2)Marqus R.
(3)Jason P.
Nice TVs, ok food, but only 1 star because the manager refused to put the game on for us, and its the only reason you go to a place like this. The thing that really bothered us is that the manager was standing around watching his game all night long. I guess this establishment puts their entertainment above the service of their guests. We won't be back.
(1)Madeline A.
Great food! I think I'll go back for more team meetings. Arrive early or it gets really crowded. By the way if you want good waffle fries ask for them! otherwise they'll give you old ones!
(4)Doug F.
Terrible burger. Not cheap either. Only reason to go to this place is for all the TVs. Nasty.
(1)Angel R.
Great service and good food for a reasonable price but no utensils. Burgers were good and the menu had good selections. Bathrooms need some cleaning though. I would go back.
(3)Cheryl S.
(3)Dirk S.
(1)Jon A.
This place is great. Our service was excellent and the food is good. The signature salad Is a good meal that is light. A little heavy on the mayo, but that is a typical chicken salad. I would come back.
(4)Bradley T.
(1)Brett C.
(2)James K.
Great food and atmosphere! The fish and chips are fantastic. And their MVP Club is a great deal.
(5)Kerry D.
Pretty good food and nice but slow service. We were on our way to the airport and had a late lunch. The onion soup was delicious and hot. The philly steak sandwich was also very good. The service was a little slow but pleasant.
(3)Vasilie C.
The spinach dip was really good. The place is very clean and appealing. It's a great place to eat before walking to the movies next door.
(4)Elizabeth R.
Yuck!
(2)Daisy P.
I've driven by this building so many times that I always thought it was an "upscale" steakhouse... Which is obviously not. Its more like a sports bar or a place to have drinks and appetizers on the cheap. The bartender made some yummy mojitos and the hummus appetizer was good.
(3)Michelle J.
(1)Renee S.
Alexanders!
(2)Nathan F.
Visited Champps last week on a work trip from NYC. Love the spot. Great service.
(4)Carolyn L.
(3)Carlos L.
Meh, ok Americana food, I can taste Sysco on everything, great for drinks during happy hour
(2)Gustavo A. L.
(3)Karl D.
Champps is an OK place to eat & drink. Went there for a meeting in their outside room and the service was great but the food was mediocre. Well decorated, will try again and hopefully the food will be better.
(3)JW U.
Food average - drinks are a light poor, bartenders fun but trained to poor a light drink.
(2)Vanessa P.

(2)Diego M.
(4)Aaron V.

Junk- gross- save you money
(1)Eric T.
I would rather eat a dirty diaper than ever go back to a Champps. My dinner tasted like it was straight out of the frozen food aisle. Terrible.
(1)Ryan S.
(4)Tom D.
(4)Danny D.
"Champps" my ass! I didn't see a single shoe for sale up in this piece.
(1)Steve Q.
Great spot to watch football. Mini Kobe beef sliders and Thai Chicken Satay are great.
(3)Bruce S.
I go with my buddies we can sit unmolested for hours, Monday burgers (good) are half price. There is NOTHING healthy here. I imagine the salad dressings have as much fat as a piece of cake.
(2)Grace R.
They have yuengling on tap for $2.50 and for that alone this place deserves 3 stars. Nachos were ok. It's your typical sports bar with your typical bar patrons. Slow servers but all in all it's not all that bad.
(3)Ryan H.
Slightly more expensive than say... a Fridays.... but waaayyy EFFIN' better. Half price Burgers on Monday. The Chipolte BBQ Burger is out-freaking-standing!
(4)simon d.
(4)Adrian B.
(4)Jai K.
(3)Sally P.
(2)Frank M.
Ok so the place isn't amazing but it is good enough. I prefer restaurants with a bit more to offer and a better menu but at least it is better then Chili's. Plenty of big screen tv's where we watched sports. The chicken fingers were spice and awesome.
(3)Daniel D.
Ok, but not great. Typical bar good and beer, though the portions are large. It's a good place for beers with the guys, but I would hesitate taking a date there.
(3)Luigi C.
